I usually get pedis every 2 weeks but have fallen on hard times. Clearly I don't know how to take care of my own feet because they end up looking like this lol. this Amope worked wonders. I probably should have gotten the coarse head because it took me like 15-20 mins to get both feet looking like this.
I absolutely love this little gadget! It’s a must have in my beauty routine. After a winter of pregnancy and wearing UGG boots my heels and feet looked awful. There was so much dead thickened and calloused skin and it looked awful. First time I used this there was a dramatic difference. The pictures done lie. I buy probably thousands of items for my family each year from amazon, and only write a review when a product exceeds my expectations. Highly recommend this! My before and after pic is literally after using it one time and putting some basic lotion on afterwards to seal in moisture and prompt healing.
I was a skeptic. I saw the photos that people posted but I didn't believe it was possible to get those results, and certainly not from the first use. I was WRONG. I spent an hour and a half this evening working on my feet that I had neglected for far too long. Look at the results! (Pics taken before I applied lotion.) I cannot believe it. Wish I wouldn't have waited so long to buy this! I was just hoping to get the cracks reduced, but they are GONE and my heels are SOFT. Amazing!
Amazing! My husband works hard jobs that require steeled toe boots and being on his feet and hard surfaces all day. His boots are pretty much destroyed and we have to get new ones. His feel were really bad, super dry, it would hurt to even touch them because of how hard they got. I had been thinking about how to fix them and I had seen this product on Walmart before, but was hesitant because it was almost $40 bucks. I found this on Amazon for $17 so I had to give it a try. best purchase ever!! My husband is so much more comfortable and confident with his feet. it doesn't hurt anymore to touch his feet and they look pretty dang good! Totally worth it. It didn't take long either. This was all done in one sitting maybe 10-20 minutes.
I purchased this some months back and have only recently started to use it. Living in the mid West now... I didn't start using it until the past few weeks as it's Spring. My heels aren't terrible, but I wear flip flop rubber cheapies in the house beginning early Spring and they tend to make my heels look awful. In addition, wearing work clogs in the hospital and the dry/cold winters don't help. I've used it 3 times and my heels are looking great. Plenty of power for my mild to medium dry mildly cracked looking heels and then I put a nice nourishing balm on them and they are looking really nice already. I think it would work great on any problematic heel or big toe area as long as you apply moisture right after doing the treatment. If you don't I think it would not work as well as you need the moisture after the treatment. I also think it's VERY IMPORTANT to use it shortly from coming out of the shower or bath when the foot is more hydrated from water. I recommend it highly yet have only used it as I said 3 times so it works great for what it is meant for, but not sure about the longevity of the device itself.
I like that it has batteries and does not need to be charged before using. When I am in the mood to work on my foot calluses, it is always ready. The handle is comfortable. The head "bobbles" to fit the contours of the foot. The coarseness of the roller made me wonder if it would be too aggressive on my calluses. Instead it produces a fine sand that leaves the callus smooth. It takes a bit longer than I would like to complete callus removal on both feet. It does not overheat the skin accidentally as I have done with nail salon type machines. I am pleased with it in general.
I sat in my shower on a bench and used this for the first time. I like the dry one so I can see the skin calluses. Some say it makes a lot of 'powder' but I didn't notice it much. Even so, it would all rinse away when done. My pkg. only came with a 'coarse' roller. I thought it was supposed to come with that and an 'extra coarse' - which I think I will order to try. Worked great. Let the roller do the job (lightly). No need to add pressure. Keep a good eye on what u r doing so u don't apply it on nice skin. So the side of my big toes, heels, side of foot below little toe all are smoother after just that one try. It was a little difficult to use on my one spot on metarsal pad cause foot is rather indented there.
Wanted to try this because even though I get a pedicure every 3 weeks, my feet don't stay in good shape in the meantime. I get chapped/rough heels, same along the outside of my feet, plus a callus on the ball of my foot. The batteries came inside it, which I did not understand would be the case - so I opened it up to put some in and they flew out onto the floor! Replaced and turned it on.It does not hurt at all to use, just glide it over your problem areas and let it do the work for you.I did not experience the results like some of the photos I saw, however, it still makes a huge difference in the look and feel of my feet!I use this after a nice soaking bath (just after my feet have dried), and then follow up with moisturizer and fluffy socks for several hours. I think the photos of 'after' have to have been after moisturizing, because on me when I finish using this product, my skin is still chapped looking and rough, like when you use a file.My heels are night and day difference after using this and no doubt my pedicure lady will be amazed! Also, my callus has gotten a lot smoother.Highly recommend, just know that it definitely needs the addition of moisturizer to get the achieved look and feel you want!
I've had moderately cracked heels for years. I've tried every pumice stone, lotion, etc. Nothing healed the deep cracks. Turns out cracked heels can be a symptom of iodine deficiency and the body's resulting thyroid challenges (which affects moisture levels in the skin due to the hormonal imbalances). I've been taking Tri-Iodine for 2 months and have seen significant improvement in my cracked heels, with no lotion treatment and only a few "sandings" here and there. I've read it can take from 6 months up to a year of supplementation depending on your deficiency level. Just wanted to pop on here and pass on the info to others it might help. I'm excited to have found a solution. (Another recommended iodine is called Detoxadine and I may try that after this bottle of Tri-Iodine runs out. I went with the 12.5 mg option of Tri-Iodine.)
Came with what looks to be the coarse grinding stone and I'm pleased with that. My heels are my biggest problem and within minutes they were soft and smooth. It has a nice fat handle from holding the 4 AA batteries and that gives you a good grip and good guidance of the stone over your rough edges. Removing and replacing the grinding stone could be a little cumbersome with people with thick/fat fingers, but it is a pretty simple operation. The stone's pins are spring loaded and that is where it could be a problem, however, changing the stone should be infrequent enough that I personally would not use this issue as a reason not to have the Amope'. Press the pin with your fingernail and it should center itself easily and nicely.
I can't believe I waited so long to buy one of these! After reading some of these bad reviews, to those reviewers I have to ask: "Are you sure you are reviewing the same product?"... because, honestly, I have no idea how anyone can be dissatisfied once they have used this. It truly is a miracle worker, and worth every penny. The positive reviews speak for themselves- so if you are on the fence, GET this. You won't be sorry. You will love the results!
I got this today and it was perfect timing. I am in AZ in the winter and BC in the summer so I very seldom wear anything but sandals. The dryness in AZ is hard on the feet and I don't use creams etc regularly so my feet get pretty ugly. I spent about 15 minutes on each one and they are so much nicer looking and nice and smooth. It came with only one roller so if you are thinking of buying this be sure to buy replacement rollers or buy one that has several rollers with it. I will buy the replacements but I think it would be a better buy to get the one with replacements in the package. I would recommend this product.
Pros: Quicker/more efficient than manual foot care tools, Different levels of hardness for rollers, roller price reasonable/seem to last a long timeCons: No immediate problems - would have liked to have a rechargeable battery instead of AA but this is not a deal breaker by any means. What can I say other than this product works as advertised. It helps treat coarse skin very well and does not seem to irritate the skin while doing so. Especially if you've used manual foot care products and would like a faster more efficient way of getting even better results try this out.
I had the worse dried feet and a huge callus that caused a tremendous amount of pain I know, embarrassing to admit. But... holy cow, it this thing amazing. It wasn’t an overnight cure for me. But there was a remarkable difference. After a few weeks of use on a 3-4 times a week I can now say my feet are normal. Now I use it to maintain soft skin. Well worth it. Treat yourself. You deserve.
Works as advertised. You do need a light touch, and it's not industrial sander. So if you're hoping to grind away deep calluses in one session, you'll be disappointed. But I started with a Listerine soak, crumbled away the worst of the build up, dried my feet and then used it. Every night I use it for a few minutes, lotion up and after 4-5 days, I'm now to a controllable state. Waaaaay better than gripping pumice stones.
I like in a warm climate so I am always in sandals or barefoot. As a result, I have horribly dry heels that tend to get deep, painful cracks. When I got this callus remover, I immediately gave it a try and so far have been very pleased. In just under a week (about 6 or 7 sessions a few minutes long) my heels are significantly softer and the cracks are almost gone. I have found that it works best for me if I use it on dry heels, if I soak my feet first like they recommend, the roller clogs up. The only reason I am not giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is that I feel it is under powered. I do understand that there is a safety feature that will stop the roller if too much pressure is applied, but if I do more than just lightly rest the roller against my heel it slows and if I apply even the tiniest bit of pressure at all it comes to a complete stop. If it had just a little bit more power I would happily give this item 5 stars.
Painful arthritis in hands, knees and ankles caused me to neglect my feet this winter. I finally realized if I had to be taken to the hospital, I would be mortified if my socks were removed for anyone to see my feet. I used my new Amope foot file today and found it easy to use, fast, and much better than a pumice stone. This is fantastic. I highly recommend this product.
This tool works well, but you have to let it do the work for you. I purchased additional rollers (extra coarse and regular) as I live in flip flops and had quite a bit of calloused skin to take down. Try not to press too hard - it won't speed up the process and in fact, you'll just stop the roller head from spinning. Like I said, let the tool do the work!
Pressing hard will trigger a safety stop. For best results (my experience):Wash your feet, let them air dry, do not apply any lotions/oils, wipe with alcohol, let dry, use Amope to rid yourself of the dry skin easily in one sitting.Using this product on damp feet defeats the purpose.
Summary:I bought these for my hard working feet. My feet get dry because of the rubber footwear I'm required to wear at work. I have tried the stainless steel file, but this electric shaver works better because it grinds much more evenly.Pros:1) Sands evenly.2) Good battery life.3) Easy to hold.4) Easy to change rollers.5) Good design.6) Comes with 3 rollers.Cons:1) Don't use this on toes...it catches the skin.2) Relatively long charging time.
Ok, this is both embarassing and a little gross, but puffs of dry skin "dust" came off my heels and balls of my feet. Maybe you can tell I am not a big pedicure person. The last (and first time) I had a professional pedicure at a spa, I ended up buying a large plastic Swiss file which had sand paper on both sides from the spa. It worked well to remove the callouses, and bunyons, so long as I had the time to do it because it takes a lot of effort and you have to keep rinsing out the file as the sand paper gets clogged with dry skin and loses effectiveness. I had also tried using saver like devices to sort of shave off excess dried skin. It sort of works in the short term, but re-grows back with a vengeance. The professional pedicurist told me the reason is that callouses come from a self protection mechanism when ome walks barefoot - the bony areas will end to have thickened skin to protect the bone. When you remove, it will always grow back, but with the blade which tends to remove the skin unevenly, you can get uneven accelerated growth. So it has been a long time since I filed down the callouses on my feet.Enter the callus remover. In something like 15 minutes, (and I had a lot of calloused skin), all of it was gone, on both feet. Ahhh...I went slow (as one should ) and snipped skin tags (i.e. Dry callused skin that cracked and was hanging like a hang nail) because the Callous Remover is pretty strong and fast.It was great! Good product, done in short order. Im sure if done regularly it would take just a minute or two.
I was in need of a new callus remover because the ones I had didn't work. I am a research person, so I don't buy anything without researching it thoroughly,so I read all the reviews I could find. Even after reading all the positive reviews, I still wasn't convinced the Own Harmony callus remover would work on my terrible feet. I have heel bone spurs, so I can't wear shoes with backs. I have worn backless shoes for 25+ years. Needless to say, my feet had lots of calluses and my heels had deep cracks. It was embarrassing, so I tried to make sure people didn't see the cracks. My boyfriend loves pretty feet (massaging them), but he was not allowed to touch mine because of the calluses. After using this callus remover for 4 days straight (and putting lotion on after), my feet became smooth and have no cracks! My coworkers laugh at me because I have been showing them my new pretty feet. Also, I am really taking a liking to my foot massages. :) I wish I had thought about before and after pictures.
LOVE this Callas Remover. Good strong motor - takes care of the problem quickly. My previous brand took 4-5 times as long as Own Harmony. Gets all the way down to the 'good' skin' whihc my other unit did not. Pleasantly surprised that it left no sore areas - it slows down or turns off if you press down to hard. The unit is contoured to fit in the palm of your hand perfectly - not at all awkard to hold while you are moving at different angles to reach the problem areas. It also has refill rollers for both Coarse and Extra Coarse. Comes in 2 colors - blue for my son, peach for me. Perfect solution for our callused feet.
I didn't buy this for feet so I cannot attest to that. However, my husband works out at least 4 hrs a day. He does Olympic lifting, gymnastic movements and such. His hands were tearing constantly and were rough and sharp to the point he didn't want to touch my "soft skin" because he didn't want to hurt me. I got him this and he LOVES it!!! It takes 10 hours to charge and he can use it multiple times per charge. No messing with batteries taking them out and putting them in losing the batteries or having them unexpectedly die. He's had zero complaints about it and his hands are so much better.
my heels were a mess this is what happened when I got my remover: came with 3 rollers one was in unit. My callus was real bad and cracks were deep. I worked on one foot a day for a week and I have not had to change the roller. The unit is charged for about an hour so that is how long I worked on feet. I an so happy I have this because my feet have not looked this good for a long time. I do the whole foot because as soon as I started using it I could feel other callus areas. Be very careful that you don't go to deep all at once because I made a sore stop when I was working on one of the deep cracks. Also if your feet are very dry be sure to put lotion on . Good luck and you will not be disappointed..
Solo mama to a daughter who's "I WANT or NEED" list is never ending. And, her needs and most of her wants come before mine. So to be real clear here...I rarely splurge on myself. At Christmas, a relative received a more expensive brand of a similar product. I had been secretly wanting what they had gotten for a long while now, for monthly pedicures aren't in MY budget. But, guess what I did get??? An Amazon gift card! I scoured this site until I found this callus remover. I ordered and I have been in PEDI HEAVEN since! My calluses especially on my big toes hurt so bad at times, I could hardly bare another day of dress shoes. My shoes were off and hidden under my desk more than they were off. After the first use, I could definitely tell a difference. Subsequent uses totally got rid of them. Someone had asked about being able to file down a thicker nail. I have one where the nail bed was damaged and it grew small and thick. This little thing filed it down effortlessly!! Holds charge wonderfully and cordless. Only drawback is that it is a bit loud, but don't let that discourage you!
SOOOO powerful! Love , LOVE it. Bought it for my BF and I to share. Had others. This one has the most power .And FYI.. you are not supposed to be able to press down on the skin and have it keep going . I see complaints of that in many reviews I have read for many different models . You are just supposed to glide it over the area not press down. Just glide over the area and I promise you in minutes you will have silky smooth heels . As A matter of fact pay attention and be careful that you do not take down too much .Can’t say enough . ESPECIALLY For the price… Giving the white “ girl version” to my mom for Mother’s Day . At 75 she has a harder time getting down there with manual ones… I can’t wait to see her face she is just going to absolutely love this ! ( and will last a heck of a lot longer than flowers! ) PLUS NO batteries! Totally rechargeable stand .:-)
At least a thousand percent better than Amope, doesn't stop when you apply slight pressure. I wear flip-flop about 98% of the time, year round, and have terrible calusus on my feet and this is perfect.
I love this! My feet were embarrassingly rough, I just had my 2nd baby so I haven’t had much time to do for myself... I mean my feet woke me up about to cut my leg off from the toughness.. my 4 year old asked why the bottoms of my feet were falling off if that tells you anything. Sooo I saw the thousands of reviews and great ratings and ordered it... it arrived and I popped that thing open, sat outside on the porch with my 4 year old and about 15 minutes later, wahlah.... smooth as my newborns bottom. Order this if your debating! You won’t regret it.. so simple to use, don’t have to push hard and it will works wonders.
OH MY GOODNESS!! AMAZING! I wish I had taken a before photo because I am extremely impressed with this little machine. I had a back surgery, so for about five months I couldn't bend down to scrub my feet like I normally do every day in the shower. I eventually got very dry feet that were calloused. I have tried different scrubs, soaks and creams, but nothing has worked as well as this machine. With in five minutes, it's scrubbed off so much dead skin and my feet feel better than they have in a long time! They feel soft & calloused free again. I'm blown away at how quickly it worked! Very affordable & worth every penny.
I bought this as a gift for my husband. He is diligent in the care of his feet. He has diabetes and his feet get so dry. Once the skin builds up, it is dry, hard and cracking skin on his feet. Regardless of what lotions and potions we have bought, and we have bought many, he is always fighting dry skin build up on his feet. His Amope Pedi arrived this week. He was happy before we opened the plastic packaging. He imminently got a newspaper to contain the dry skin. He loved this from the start. Since it's arrival he has used it each night. He first used his last "miracle lotion" which we bought at a high end store, then switched to one we bought that day. Within just a couple of days he can see an improvement and it is just a few minutes with using this great little file. His pedicure is working better, his feet are so much smoother, so I will report back in a month's time. In the reviews I read things about the motor bogging down if pressed to hard, but he didn't press and overwork the motor and thought it had great rpm. He is very happy with the Amope Pedi Perfect, but the big payoff is for me as we play footsies watching tv and when we get into bed! We have never been able to go to sleep without touching feet, so thank you Mr. Amope! (wink, wink)
The best product I have used to date. I have a large foot rasp that I used in the past, but it didn't really smooth as well as this product- not to mention it is battery operated- WIN! I used it while watching TV and my feet have never been smoother. It is a bit loud but, you can mindlessly go over your feet, and come back to smoother nicer skin. It is am amazing product. I will recommend to all of my friends.
There are a few of these for lower price listed out there but what sold it for me was that this seller responds to the bad reviews, so I figure even if something went wrong at least they'll hear me out.Well fun news! nothing went wrong, I tried it out, I loved it, it works.I'd made a mistake years ago in buying one of these that was battery operated (from a random walmart brand, not this one) and it'd died in like a few minutes.,.. so I was very skeptical on trying again.I'm so glad I did, this worked and it's much better than paying someone to do my feet one time, rather than doing it myself the way I want as much as I want.I am actually so excited it worked that I HAD to review it.
I really like this product. I received it last night as a birthday present from my daughter. I have always had rough feet and the pedicures I get always remove a lot of callus material, but is very short lived. I like that I will be able to keep up with the roughness and maybe even save money by not having to get the intensive callus treatments at the salons any longer. Much more sanitary this way, as I know that my feet are the only ones touching this tool!Time will tell if the unit will hold up, but so far so good!
The silver model states that it is for men, but the only thing different about the silver model is the silver color. I like the silver color, so bought it for myself. The reason I bought this particular brand and model number is because it rotates at 40 rpm. Many callus removers, including my previous one, rotate at only 30 rpm. This one seems to handle the tough calluses better w/o stopping. This one holds the charge long enough to do both feet, and still have plenty of power left over. My old one died after just a few uses. Hopefully, this one will endure better. If it does not, I will update my review.
The callus remover several years ago finally died and I was on the hunt for a replacement. This one popped up when I searched. The price and reviews were good, so I decided to give it a chance. Overall, I really like the remover. My feet were soft and the charge lasted for my entire session without any loss of power. I like that since it does not need batteries that it is lighter than my previous remover. It is very comfortable to hold. The ONLY thing that I do not like about it is that it does not have a guard on one side, so the dust flies into the air a little more than my previous one did. But, this is not a huge deal - especially if you file over the bathtub. Bottom line: I highly recommend!
Both my hubby and I use this. We have our own individual rollers that we switch out. The best part of this tool is the fact that you keep it charged by plugging it in the wall. No batteries to replace!!! I had a problem with some very bad calluses that prevented me from wearing shoes, other than my sandals. My podiatrist had to shave one of them and told me I needed to get regular pedicures to get rid of the other calluses before they got too bad again. That's when I bought this miracle tool! I use it several times a week after my shower. My feet look like the feet I have always envied! My husbands feet were so bad that he had shredded a new fitted bed sheet one night. That was it, he had to do something. Now his feet are almost as soft as a babies butt!
I live in a northern climate where the winters and summers are both very dry. We battle low humidity all year and I typically go without shoes in the house. This has led to the dreaded cracked heels. Not only do they snag on my socks when I do wear socks, but they look gross and sometimes they hurt. I used to do the trick of using foot cream and wrap my feet in plastic wrap at night along with pumice stone use in the shower. These only kept the cracks at bay when I used them frequently. I finally decide to give myself a real legit heel care plan and this tool was the first step, literally. I love this thing, I've used it several times over the first week of having it and I can already see a huge improvement in my nasty heel situation. I'm also using a cool heel sock that lets my toes breath, so no more plastic wrap and socks for me! I'm very happy with this purchase, I'd recommend it to anyone that wants to use a power tool in their skin care regimen.
This remover is so far superior to Emjoi's version, they are not even in the same league! My old Emjoi was battery operated, to be fair, and lost power when the batteries ran down so the long lasting rechargeable power of this one is a relief. Their rollers are quartz and last far longer, not wearing down and having to be replaced as often as the regular ones. But the best improvement is the convex roller shape. It is so much more effective on that space between the ball of the foot and the opposite side which is a flat area. No matter how I flex my foot the flat roller did not take that callus down like the Own Harmony one does. They also recommend doing this everyday for a week to get to where you want to be rather than just one big grinding session every once in a while. Well, duh, why didn't I think of that? It is the best advice! And finally I only discovered Own Harmony when I was looking to replace my burned out Emjoi. It is so much more affordable and came with more rollers than the Emjoi equivalent so I thought why not try it? I read about the convex roller in the reviews and thought that sounded like a good idea. It's actually a brilliant idea and all rollers should be convex now that I have tried this. I know it is a small thing, but some calluses really hurt and when your feet hurt, it's not a good day. So do try this out. The folks at Own Harmony are super nice and actually follow up with you to learn if you are happy with the unit. (And no, I was not given this unit. I paid for it and decided to post this review because it is so much better than what I had been using.)
Got this for my husband as a Christmas gift. He used it ones in Jan/Feb 2017 and it worked great. Was stored safely in original package in his closet but he forgot about it. Found it end of October but it won't charge anymore. Red light comes on, charger gets warm but the charge after 8 h is 3 seconds. Battery is not replaceable so I have to get rid of it somehow, but you can't put it into trash because of the lithium-ion battery. What a pain.Changed my 1 star review to a 5 star review after the company sent me a new remover for free, It was after their warranty had expired! The new one works great and I hope we don't run into problems with recharging anymore.
I have been dealing with a callous on bottom of foot for several years. Callous was quite painful when walking & running. Would periodically have it cut off by Dr. Also had orthotist modify insoles to reduce pressure on the callous. Finally, fed up with the aggravation of multiple Dr. visits etc, I started researching callous removal. Started with methods to cut the callous off and found several devices that did removal with a rotating cylinder. Read the Reviews and ordered the rechargeable OwnHarmony model. Got it last week - followed the recommended process to start somewhat slow. Worked great - first treatment resolved the pain/pressure. Easy to use and no razor blades or sharp implements. Continuing to treat to entirely remove the callous. Wish I'd known about this 10 years ago!
So, I am skeptical of new products that claim magical results for little or no money, but as someone who enjoys being barefoot as much as possible, I am also keenly aware that my tootsies end up looking and feeling as though they were on the losing end of a fight with a croncrete chipper, and thus, I ahve to put in some time and effort to make sure I don't look like I'm stuffing two bags of sanding paper into my shoes every day. I have used other foot smoothing products; baby feet comes to mind - that product also works great, but it is time consuming and takes a week and a half to start working. (Who has time for that? I'm trying not to lacerate my bed mate this evening, next week is too little, too late!)I bought this with minimal expectations, hoping to be pleasantly surprised. Package arrived today. I pulled it out of the clamshell packaging (that's the only downside to this item - the packaging is a beast to get in to - why does anyone still use Ft Knox level clamshell packaging, anyway? Why must it be packed in such a way that it requires the upper body strength of a Grizzly bear just to open a plastic wrapper? IT's a foot smoother, not the treasure of the sierra madre...)I digress; once I got the darned thing open, it basically comes ready to use, just remove the battery case cover at the bottom of the unit to create contact so the batteries can power it, and away you go.Best analogy I can offer is what I said in the Headline; it's like a pumice stone on steriods.I have really sensitive skin, so I braced, concerned I might press too hard & shear off a toe...nothign to be worried about. I put a fair amount of pressure on the calloused areas of my soles & heels & it didn't bother me at all.It powered through some pretty gnarly callouses that I didn't even realize were as bad as they were. The only gross aspect of it is the thin, fine veneer of dead skin you're going to create in the one foot (ha) vacinity you're sitting in as you use this. Try not to think about the fact that you're being covered in a layer of your own skin dust, but otherwise, you're buffed, smooth, & calluses begone.Use it dry, DO NOT USE IT WET. It's not waterproof & it won't work as well, not to mention you could hurt yourself.I did both soles, dry, in about 2 minutes & the difference is remarkable.I'm sold. The batteries it comes with are cheapy, no name, and I suspect I'll buzz through them in another use or two; no biggie. It takes 4AA batteries, easy enough to replace & I'll wait to see how it does with somethign that has more power like energizer or Duracell before I decide if it's a battery eater or not.Good product, decently made for the price, easy to use, works right oout of the box & delivers on what it promises. What more could you ask for? (Except, maybe clamshell packaging that doesn't give me a stroke while I try to open it...)
I was diagnosed with a Tailor's bunion (protruding fifth metatarsal). I was told by the doctor surgeries to correct this problem took weeks to heal and were not necessarily lasting. I also had heavily callused feet. The doc suggested that certain things may make walking far less painful. They were: callus removal, heavy moisturizing and cushioning protection. I bought some Dr. Frederick's open toe sleeves and they provided wonderful forefoot cushioning and protection. I bought some O'Keefe's foot cream for "Healthy Feet" and was amazed at how soft my heels became...good stuff! Today my electric callus remover arrived. I let it charge for several hours. I planed down all remaining rough, dry or callused areas. My feet are now looking and feeling great! The other tools: foot files etc. are a waste of money for the more serious challenges such as mine. The only challenge I have left is I am exploring whether an orthotic insert would be good for preventing problems. I've tried them before and found them to be intolerably uncomfortable. The doc suggested wearing toe separators while watching t.v. or around the house. This should address some of the 5th metatarsal alignment issues. These things have worked for me and my problem is solved. The callus tool would be great for women who want to keep their feet looking nice in sandals. I think it eliminates the need for professional pedicures.
