Love this purchase. Last week hurt my back, but I always had lower back pain from a accident year's ago. The next day after going to emergency room getting muscle relaxer shot, I ordered this. Immediately I felt my herniated disk shift and line back up, once I payed down. Started on level 1 for 5 minutes, then I tried second level and I love it. I suggest going thru steps in a progression. I've had this 3 days and the results are amazing. 4 days ago I couldn't walk or bend over. Even after emergency room visit I had pain in my lower back.
I bought this for myself but my daughter has taken it over. We use it one to three times a day and we both can see significant difference in the level of back pressure and pain. We have best results with the second level. Once you lay on it, it stretches the back from top to bottom. It is simple and easy and comes in a large storage bag. We could see a difference with first use! I was truly amazed at how quickly it worked but I believe using it consistently is the key to it really working on back pain. So happy with purchase!
I have been suffering from lower back pain for about 2 months, since injuring it while shoveling snow. After reading about some of the positive benefits people have felt after using back stretching devices, I thought it was worth trying myself. The positive reviews that I read about this product before purchasing are well earned. After a week of use, I am already feeling positive benefits myself. I am able to rest on it on the first 2 levels, but have been using the first level so as not to push my body too fast. I still have a bit of an ache, but I am not feeling the abrupt twinges that I had been feeling before. I have been combining using the back stretcher with some lower back yoga which I highly recommend doing as well. Whether or not you like the nubs on the stretcher is one of personal preference. I happen to like them and feel like they stimulate circulation and healing. If you don’t like them, you could always cover the stretcher with a towel or even a heating pad for warm relief. I will continue to use this stretcher as I feel that it is beneficial to me. It is nice to have a couple more levels to move up to when I feel like I need a deeper stretch.
I've had back pain for the last 3 years when I received this, I didn't know if it was going to work for me are not as soon as I was able to assemble it as easy as that was my back pain decreased incredibly after using this for just not even 10 minutes, anybody with lower back pain, looking to take some of the pressure off their back. I recommend purchasing this item, thank you.
I threw out my back and was in an incredible amount of pain if I tried to bend in any direction. This little thing was a lifesaver. I didn't want to spend hundreds to go to the dr. and get scans and then chiro/PT, so I gave this and a back brace a try in hopes that it would make the pain manageable. It ABSOLUTELY worked and now my back pain is less than what it was before it completely gave out!Assembly does require some force after the first notch. The highest notch was pretty difficult the first few times I switched it, but I'm also 5'2", so that setting just made me feel like I was almost doing a complete back bend, but seemed okay for my 6' partner. I alternate between the lowest and middle notch. The spikes on it is painful at all and provides some needed pressure. I think you can put in on your chair and use it that way. I've just been putting it on the floor and laying on it for 5-10 minutes at the beginning and end of the day.The first time I used it, my back cracked in about 12 different places which kind of scared the crap out of me but I immediately felt so much better. I'm honestly in love with this thing and I'm pretty picky and have commitment issues. And yes- that's absolutely ridiculous because it's literally just two pieces of plastic. Now just be mindful that I never found out why my back gave out so will this be as life changing for you as it was for me? I sure as heck can't tell you, but if my 2 cents are worth anything, I'd say it's worth a try.(I'm 100% not saying that this is an alternative to professional medical care and do not follow the example of someone who makes questionable decisions about her health)
OMG I was never able to image how does that work without trying it and thank God I did. An excellent tool and I highly recommend it. I still am at maximum level 2. Three is a bit too much at that point. Gravity is doing its job, for reals. Love it.Doesn't take space. Super small. Fits everywhere. Super easy to set and use. Seconds. The relief is immediate. Even if I use it for a bit longer, I can't get off it easy and have to roll aside =] Makes me to feel like a jelly fish.
I just received my back stretcher and I must say when I first ordered it I really thought I would be sending it back thinking it had to be a gimmick. Easy to read and follow directions. With the level of compression and over 15 years of pain, I went straight to level 3!! It was easy to get it set at level 1 but had to have my husband get it into the level 3 position. When I first laid back onto it, it felt a little strange but once I got up, I immediately felt relief from the compression I feel 24/7 in my lower back. Pretty amazing if you ask me. After this first use I am hooked, I even own a teeter hanger and this gives me the same if not better stretch to my lower back without all the blood running to my head hanging upside down!I say if anyone is on the fence, just get it and try it. Now starting at level 3 may not be for everyone but work up to it. You won't regret it! AWESOME product!
This item was out of stock for a while, but well worth the wait. My husband ordered multiple support cushions in softer & thicker material and all work well as intended including this stiff looking device. We tried to use this back support on flat and soft surface and it works great every time. It provided tremendous relief to back spine. Recommend! A+++
The Back Stretcher Device by Bodyease is a solid stretcher.ProsPrice, not too expensive.Construction - Can take some serious weight.Does what it says it does, stretches your back out.ConsWill be hard for some people to adjust/put together. The bumping pattern on the board itself can be painful for some (I personally like it, it's not bad for me)You can always throw a towel over it to help with that. All in all not a bad stretcher, does what it claims but takes some force to put together and or adjust levels. If you need to stretch your back out, this is not a bad buy.
I've had moderate to severe lower back pain for almost a year. I went to a chiropractor for three days a week for three months, which helped mitigate the pain and gave me a head start with mobility. I have been reluctant on returning to the chiropractor because of the cost and time commitment, so I decided to work a bit harder on my own - posture exercises recommended by my chiropractor accompanied with posture correction devices. I started using an upper back posture brace a couple hours a day and this back stretcher. I think I have a winning recipe. Two weeks ago, I couldn't sit and bend over to tie my shoes without stinging pain. Now, the pain is completely tolerable and subsiding. The first time I laid down on the back stretcher it was painful. I didn't last more than a minute or so because I couldn't relax the muscles around my spine. By the third time, I was able to relax enough to feel everything falling into place. It was definitely a curious feeling bordering pain, but not really a hurt. After a few days of use, I can handle the medium setting for five to seven minutes per session - a little longer each time.I have a feeling this device will be one of the most powerful tools I'll continue to use for the lifelong pursuit of a healthy back. In a few weeks I'll make an appointment for an adjustment just to show off the progress I've made at home.I wish I had looked into a device like this a year ago.
It's really tough to set it up at first but once you get a hang of it, it just gets easier. Ive tried foam rollers before and they are different from each other. I like that this stays at place and you can stretch good , but if you want it to move, then rollers are for you. For the price, its fair enough
So, I have had on and off back pain for the last several years. 6yrs ago had surgery and I have been better but it seems as though once or twice a year it starts acting up and only way for me to get better is take 1-3months off work and do nothing. Desperate to stay in work I found this little e contraption. For under $30 I thought what the heck see if it works because my issues are in my lower back, so it’s hard to stretch out. I was having trouble getting up and down and extending my right leg to walk. The pain was waking me up every night. I got this in the mail, laid down on it and thought……what a bust. Waste of $$. However, desperate to see relief I decided to keep up with it and see where it left me. I tried it only a minute or two the first time. Then the next morning when I woke up I was not as sore but still not 100%. I set it in the middle setting and just laid on it for about 2 or 3 minutes…..MAN DID THAT MAKE A DIFFERENCE! Today I am having a much easier time getting around from just 2 uses. When you are laying on it, it really does not feel like it is doing much but holy moly does it work. After 3 weeks of walking like an 86 yr old woman I am finally feeling relief without pain pills or narcotics. I am thrilled it is something so inexpensive and easy!! I am really happy I gave this one a go!
This MAGIC BACK SUPPORT is a valuable adjunct for anyone that suffers with back pain. It’s 3 adjustable positions, gently coax your lumbar spine into gently relaxing into a normal curvature, which relieves pain and corrects posture. When fastened to the back of a chair, with the included strap, it keeps your spine in that normal curve, if you position the device in the #1 position. The more advanced level # 2&3, are for floor stretches.. these will provide excellent lumbar stretches, however, don’t be too quick to try them, or advance to them.Start off in the #1 position, you might find that is enough for you.Do what feels good, and as always, consult your Dr. before starting any exercise program.
I've been having sciatic issues and could not wait to get this in the mail. The first level I felt a stretch, but after 2 minutes I no longer felt a stretch so went to level 2 and wow. It's so amazing how much of a good strech you get with this. I had to very slow lay back on it. It took a few days before I could even begin to think about trying level 3. Level 3 took me some time to lay on it. A large stretch. This has helped my back so much and my sciatica. I had so many people try this out for themselves and everyone has loved this and was shocked at how much something so small and simple can help. An awesome invention!
This product works great! When it first arrived and I opened it i set it up with the help of instructions nothing major and then i laid back for 3-5 min on the floor i felt the difference instantly and my pain started to resolve. I also used it for the first time in my vehicle while driving helps the pain as I’m making it to my destination and as I’m sitting at work all day as the device is shown pictured. ☺️
I try to use this daily for 10 minutes using the middle placement of the removable slat. Build yourself up to it because it can be a very intense and sometimes uncomfortable stretch; I sit at a desk all day and need something to keep my back and hips from tightening up so badly. This works well and despite my thoughts about it being gimmicky I think over time it's helped to keep my back looser and more limber.
This is a great idea, it's very comfy with your desire of arch, it definitely has helped with my lower back aches from sitting around all day in a desk chair at work or driving around countless hours. I look forward using this regularly each day after work for 30 mins or more. It's very easy to use and very sturdy.
I have a lot of chronic back pain and was looking for some products recently to help combat it. I do a lot of yoga to help with back pain and stiffness, but it's not always gong to be 100% what I need. This back stretcher is great because it offers support and takes a lot of the stress out of doing the back stretches that I would normally do anyway, making them feel more effective and less exhausting. also for people who may look at yoga and say the wheel pose is too much for them (it is even for me certain days, and I've been doing yoga for years) you can still get a lot of the same benefits! the bumps are also stimulating and relaxing at the same time. I love that it's adjustable since you may need more curve some days than others. I would definitely recommend using this as it is so relaxing to just lay there and let your spine decompress for a few minutes while the arch does it's work.
Bought this because my back has been tight the last couple of months and this claims to stretch it out. The first time I tried it it felt a little weird but it seemed to work as advertised. My wife also tried it and she’s been using it more than I have.Basically you lay it on the floor or any flat surface and you lay back on it centering your back. You’ll want to do this for about 5 minutes or whatever works for you. We have been doing this before bed and we find it keeps our backs from getting tight while sleeping and waking up with aches and pains. You can also use this as sort of a back scratcher too if you work hard enough at it.
I've actually owned this for 6 years and have used it as needed. Recently I tweaked my back again and used this along with typical floor stretching and what an incredible difference it has made. I now use it on its highest setting everyday for just a few minutes. You need to learn how to relax your hips and let gravity stretch you out. I sold my inversion table a few years ago and have never regretted it. This device gives me a better quality of life.
I got this in preparation for buying an inversion table. I now have both and use both! This thing is excellent for getting a really deep, solid back crack all throughout my mid and upper back. I usually will use the 2/medium setting for a couple minutes if my lower back is feeling tight and/or as a precursor to getting on the inversion table.Great, Simple Product!!!!
Great for after yoga- I use it to stretch my increasingly tighter lower back. I tend to lay with this for two to five minutes slowly moving my lower spine up and down. Relieves the tightness for sure! I use it 5 days a week and definitely have less pain than just two weeks ago. Try the second setting seems to be good without being too strong a curvature!
Seriously amazing !! I have had back issues for years. Nothing major but tight sore muscles. After having my daughter I lost my arch and am not flexible no matter how much I excersize. This thing started to relieve pains within minutes. I’m laying on it now and slowly there’s a good achy relief! (Like ahhh hurts so good) lol and standing up feels better. Can’t wait to keep using this daily ! Definitely recommend!
I bought this for 2 reasons. Now that I am working from home and “ sitting “ for most of the day I have been having low back pain. I have used it on the lowest level twice a day as recommended for 5 minutes and it stretches you out more thank you would think. It also doubles as a back support for work chair which I did not realize until after I read instructions . I am not certain what the black band is for but I needed one for yoga and use it for that
This works but, you can't be a big old baby about some pain or discomfort it may cause when first using. I've thrown my back out on multiple occasions. I've always had to immediately use an item similar to this in the past to help minimize the healing time. The hubby doesn't like any discomfort but, it works. Don't go to the highest setting and say it's hurts. Start with the lowest settings and follow the directions. The hubby doesn't want to admit it worked. He just thinks his body healed itself. Just because you may have a hard time getting up it doesn't mean it isn't working. If have someone to help you up...just ask. If you don't have anybody to help you just roll to your side. Take your time and use the couch or low table edge to help you up. As you use it more often it will be easier to get up. Don't forget to use a pillow .
I have major back problems and finding a back stretcher with low lumbar support is just what I need.... with this stretcher at just the perfect arch increments, has been aiding me in relieving my lower back pain. The deeper the breathe you take and the longer you take to exhale will help you attain the kinda of stretch you need.
Made of heavy duty plastic. This back stretcher is amazing. It is really comfortable. The blue thing that connects to the middle makes it super comfortable but isn't necessarily needed. It's great support. The pain in my lower back is gradually going away. The three different levels of arch make it really convenient. I don't think anyone would regret buying this.
I use it 5 minutes each time like it says. I lay on it 3-5 times a day. My back feels much better. I have scoliosis, so I believe this is why my muscle is so tight on the right side, I have used it for 6 days, on the 5th day my ribs on my right side are a little sore, hurts to bend, so I think maybe this Back Stretcher is helping to align my spine and relaxe my muscle because it is not as tight as it was 6 days ago. I sleep better, my back feels better when I wake up. At the time of this review, I feel like it is worth the money. ( my grandson used today and said he felt like it stretched his spine)
I've had back problem for the last 20 yrs and it's a constant nagging pain that just won't go away. I have back pain from bad posture, picking things up off the floor all day kids. And working from home with the laptop on the couch. I used to wake with back pain every day. Using this every evening for 5-6 minutes really relaxes my back and I can feels so much better in the morning now. This back stretcher have 3 adjustable setting. I wish I know about this many years ago. I would definitely recommend this back stretcher.
I have terrible back pains almost all the time and i have an office job...so this has been a life saver! I have one for the office and one for home. The moment you rest your back on this....you can feel the relief. I also use it as a back stretcher and lay on it on the ground! I even travel with this for work! It is a must have!
Pros: more comfy compare to regular foam ones. Gives you stronger support and little massage.Cons: kind of hard to assemble and switch between supporting levels.Don’t know how long the plastic will last. I’ll continue watch.
I didn't expect much but was surprised at how well built it is and how easy it is to adjust the various levels, although is does take some strength to get it to the max. Once lying on it you can feel your back stretching. Never stay on it if you start to hurt. That's true of any of these devices, not just this one. It will take some time for your back to stretch out. Follow the included instructions and you will feel great like I am.
Tried a few things to relieve my back pain but this stretched just the right amount. The low setting was OK however, the mid setting has stretched my back just right. For those who hate to see the doctor, I recommend trying this.
I’m a larger guy and carry the weight of my life in my back. Whether it be stress at work, pressure buildup, or exerting my body - I’m almost guaranteed to have back pain by the end of the day. I gone so far as to have my teenage boys walk on my back to help relieve the pressure.First time use: I set this up for the third level of firmness and positioned it on the floor. I set it so my mid- upper back would get the most pressure. Upon letting go, I felt about 15 “cracks” in my back instantly releasing the paid and pressure. I literally passed out in euphoria for about an hour.I have never felt this good. This is an amazing product.
This hurt me and I should have known better. My lumbar problems are way beyond just tight muscles that require stretching. After 17 years of dealing with my chronic condition, I should have kept my money in my pocket. I also covered the hard plastic bumps with memory foam as I recognized what is a flawed design and left my lymph nodes and kinesiology meridians of energy points to themselves.
I’ve had back pain for years and using it like you’re supposed to, it really helps with the pain. It took a few days but it gets better each day. I also use it sitting at computer and will use it for long drives. My wife also uses it for yoga. Great product and price.
Easy to assemble, very comfortable device. Used for a week roughly, it makes my back stretch and feel more relaxed . I have experienced back pain this year, but this has received the pain and also relieved tension in certain areas. I will continue to use this regularly. If I know I will sitting for long periods or travelling, I will use this first. Based on my experience, I would recommend this.
Very interesting device I have been using it all day long. In the office at my car, after a workout class also before I go to bed. It helped me relief my back pain. Highly recommend it.
This product works great for back stretches especially when the bending freezes due to back pain. I think if one hangs himself in several sets and use this product afterwords, the disc slide may get fixed.
This is a product that I didn’t think I would use as often as I have. My roommate and I are in our 30s and have “ailments” from our daily activities. She has struggled with back pain for almost 20 years and uses this almost daily. My only suggestion would be an “in between” space because it seems like 1 to 2 is a very big difference.
I bought this for my office chair, because I now spend most of the day sitting. When I went to place it on my chair I noticed that the retention strap was more or less useless because it failed to keep tight. Luckily it isnt necessary because the product just rests on the seat of the chair anyway. The needles were a little bit hard to get used to, but over all it kind of feels nice to have some pressure points on the back. Overall im very pleased for what I paid for. I only use level one for now, which is the least curved, and that seems to be more than enough.
i purchased this product for work. i sit in a office chair for 8 hours a day. and my back starts killing me. i also have lordosis. first day of using this i was relived instantly for hours.
This little gem of a health device has proven it's worth since I purchased it over a year ago. It's so simple yet works amazingly well.I am a landscaper, am 65 years old and use my body a lot in my work.My back is still in great shape after 30 plus years of strenuous use but occasionally gets out of alignment. After just a few weeks using the device I changed the setting to the second level of arc to increase the back stretch. That was a turning point.I just had to get onto the device (on the floor) and my back started to pop and crack almost instantly. In just a few minutes my back was stretched out and un-kinked.I still go to the chiropractor -- but far less often than I used to thanks to Back Magic.
Really didn’t know what to expect as I was willing to try anything to relieve my back pain from jiu jitsu. The first time I laid in it didn’t feel bad when I was on it. When I got off of it, I’m there was a noticeable difference as my back felt so much better. It’s nice and small so I can easily put it away.
’ve had mine for about 2 weeks now and holy cow is it amazing! I have a herniated disc and degenerative disc disease. Almost always in constant pain and I’ve never found anything to relieve my pain until this! I use it throughout the day even if it’s just in my office chair or sitting on the couch. I’ve had so much more flexibility and mobility and I’m not waking up in tears every day because I can’t get out of bed!
I have several issues with my back so I decided to give this a try. I am 6'1 and weigh 230lbs. this fits perfect. I was able to decompress my spine in a few minutes. felt several pops, I stood up and felt great. I like that its adjustable for more arch. great quality device.
I really like this product, I bought it after I pulled my back and it helped me slowly stretch it out. Be careful though, I feel like I could pull it worse trying to get off of it!! I always roll off it onto my stomach and get up from there. It's not super comfortable, but the shape is good for an occasional back stretch. Be sure to start from the lowest setting, you could really hurt yourself if you slam down on the high arch, I've done it!! But good support overall, I probably wouldn't buy it again though.
I have all kinds of back trouble and try all kinds of weird tools to help. This is a nice simple, but helpful device for creating some traction in the spine. Honestly, sometimes there is so little motion in my back that the very first level is too much, but it does help. Generally, you can move it up and down the spine to encourage some extension in different places. I really like that, when I place it a little higher up, just below the shoulder blades, I not only get extension in the spine, but it perfectly pulls my should blades apart and creates some movement in the muscle and other surrounding tissue.
After standing on my feet for longperiodsof time at work my back aches. After using the back stretcher it feels a lot better and even the next day back doesn't feel as tight. Made well and eady to use
It dies what its supposed to. It helps my back. I dont use it all the time. I did. I find less usage with this one better. My back and thoracic are are a mess from hard core life and heavy lifting labor work and combative sports and training. Even the first stage killed me at first. The 3rd is stil to much for me. I also use a inversion table. Seldom at present. More strength work now.
My chiropractor recommended this stretcher for my back to excersize between my visits. I'm trying to use it at least every other day and so far it seems to work and I feel a great relief after using it. It was very easy to setup and the instructions were very clear. Great value for the price I paid and hopefully will reduce my chiropractor visits.
Very easy and simple to use and set up. I’m a bigger guy 230+ pounds and it supports me no problem. It helps stretch out my back and I’ve had some back problems from an accident a few years ago. It is really cool that there’s 3 different settings for the intensity of the stretch. Product came with instruction sheet that was very clear and has color pictures. I love it and I recommend this
Creates a nice traction-like stretch. I’ve been managing back pain for years. This is a great tool. I stretched about a minute in three sections of my spine. Then paused 10 minutes and when I went to stretch again, pop! Pop! Relieving. One star off due to how hard it is to set the levels by bending the plastic.
